Non-surgical treatments such as injections of Botox® and injectable fillers offer a safe, effective method of preventing and treating wrinkles in the face.
While Botox® works to prevent and treat fine wrinkles, injectable fillers work by temporarily restoring volume to the aging face to correct medium depth and deep lines. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane® and Juvederm™ are very popular, and can be used to fill fine and moderate lines around the cheeks, nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to corner of the mouth), marionette lines (lines from the corners of the mouth to chin), and lips. As we age, our natural density of hyaluronic acid soft tissue decreases, causing sagging of the overlying skin and fat pads, giving us an aged and wrinkled appearance.
Restylane® and Juvederm™ are used to restore a more youthful facial contour by plumping up the lines and wrinkles they are injected into. Providing immediate results with almost no downtime, these products give you a natural look and feel, without lumps or firmness. Radiesse® is another popular filler, but is composed of calcium hyroxyapatite-another, yet thicker, substance naturally found in the body. Due to its increased thickness, Radiesse® is an excellent filler for deep volume correction around the cheeks and nasolabial folds. You will have an indepth consultation with the surgeon to decide which areas of the face should be treated with each type of filler. The results are immediate, natural looking and gratifying.
The Everett Clinic offers non-surgical treatments such fillers and injectables at our Everett location.
