The Everett Clinic, part of OptumCare, has once again been honored with top awards from APG’s 2019 Standards of Excellence™ survey. APG, formerly known as CAPG, is the nation’s leading association for physician groups focused on coordinated care.
Two of our regions achieved Elite status this year. HealthCare Partners in California earned this distinction for the 13th year in a row and The Everett Clinic in Washington did so for the fifth year in a row.
Physician groups that receive this distinction go above and beyond to provide effective, high-value, patient-centered care that aligns with national quality standards. Elite awards are achieved by excelling in six areas: Care Management Practices, Information Technology, Accountability and Transparency, Patient-Centered Care, Group Support of Advanced Primary Care, and Administrative and Financial Capability. This year’s survey also included questions to highlight important topics such as social determinants of health, value-based incentives, financial standards, and post-hospital discharge follow-up.
“The achievement thresholds for Elite status get tougher year after year because we along with other care delivery leaders are highly focused on raising the bar for better outcomes and value in health care,” shared Dr. Chan Chuang, Chief Clinical Officer, Clinical Performance, OptumCare. “We are thrilled to have received these honors as they exemplify our unwavering commitment to providing a differentiated experience and, in turn, enabling healthier lives.”
