Ellen Passloff, MD
I have been a general pediatrician in the greater Seattle area for more than 24 years and continue to love what I do, every day!
It is incredibly special to provide care for a patient from birth to adulthood. I truly appreciate the privilege of working with children, in order to become a positive influence on their physical and emotional development. One of my main goals is to provide anticipatory guidance in order to prevent illness and to promote excellent health and development. I have had the pleasure of caring for my patients when both ill and well, but I have also had the honor of being a part of their family. I feel as if I can best support my families by listening very carefully to their concerns and working on solutions together. It is truly a gift to be able to offer guidance, medical treatment, and solutions to my families and to be able to follow their wonderful journeys from childhood into adulthood.
I have always adored children. I started babysitting at age 11 and continued until I started college. During college, I still wanted to work with children, so I volunteered at the Ben Haven School for autistic children. Every day I am grateful that I chose pediatrics as my specialty. I love watching my patients grow into wonderful young adults, after first meeting them at birth and being part of their lives for so many years! There is something magical about the enthusiasm, innocence, and honesty of pediatric patients.
I have a special interest in ADHD and adolescent medicine. I have personal experience with a son who has ADHD and learning differences. Because of my own struggles, I am well versed in and able to offer not only resources but support to families facing similar issues with their children.
