“I want to create an environment where patients feel respected and safe enough to discuss difficult issues.”
I want to create an environment where patients feel respected and safe enough to discuss difficult issues. Each patient is different and I want to get to know them and treat them as an individual. The relationship is collaborative as we work through issues together. My style is focused on strengths a non-directive. I believe patients make their own choices but also keep safety in mind.
I chose to practice in the behavioral health field as it seems a good fit for how I work. I am a patient person and treat people with dignity and respect. It is exciting to see patients deal with issues and work on improving their lives.
My personal interests are budget travel and cooking. I like to learn about new subjects and develop new skills so l like going to libraries and used book stores, and take classes occasionally. Spending time with my dog by the water is fun and relaxing.
Why The Everett Clinic?
I chose to practice at The Everett Clinic because it gives me an opportunity to do the work I love. Getting to know patients and establishing a therapeutic relationship is something I really enjoy. I value the trust that patients show when they share their lives with me. It is interesting to be able to offer services in new ways, like telehealth.
